Czech Republic’s Tomas Berdych has progressed into the third round of the Rogers Cup following a 2-1 victory over Croatian Borna Coric.

Berdych fought hard on Wednesday to book his spot in the next round. His Croatian rival started the match quite strong and broke in the first game before closing out the first set 6-4.

But Berdych found his rhythm in the next two sets winning them 6-1, 6-4 respectively to set up a third round meeting with the winner of the John Isner and Ryan Harrison match.
