Russia is hosting the Open Helicopter Championship. Over 30 teams from different countries are participating in the event.
The contest is being held at the ‘Konakovo’ aerodrome in the western ‘Tver’ region.
Pilots from Russia, Poland, Belarus, Canada, Austria and Belgium have performed with Mi-2 and Robinson helicopters.
The participants have to compete in a variety of exercises including cargo delivery, slalom, navigation and flying for accuracy exercises as the competition unfolds.
Organizers say the best performing Russian pilots will be selected for the future World Helicopter Championship.
