Thousands of Venezuelans have crossed the border into Columbia to buy food and medicine that are in short supply at home.

Thousands of Venezuelans have crossed the border into Columbia to buy food and medicine that are in short supply at home. This came after Caracas opened the long-closed border connecting Venezuela to Columbia. Venezuela closed all crossings a year ago to crack down on smuggling along the border.
