The seven-time champion Roger Federer has cruised into the 4th round of the Wimbledon Open after posting a straight sets victory over Britain’s Dan Evans.
After defeating world No. 772 Marcus Willis in round two, Federer was again playing the unfamiliar role of pantomime villain on his own favorite court, but it didn't bother him and the outcome was the same, a comfortable straight sets victory.
The No. 3 seed needed just an hour and 29 minutes to complete a 6-4, 6-2, 6-2 win over the Brit.
The Swiss maestro will now take on either Steve Johnson of the United States or Bulgaria's Grigor Dimitrov in the 4th round.
