The most decorated Olympian of all-time Michael Phelps has qualified for his 5th Olympic Games after winning the 200-meter butterfly at the US swimming trials.

Phelps, who has won 22 medals in his previous four Olympic appearances, touched the wall in a winning time of one minute, 54.84 seconds to book his place in the upcoming Rio Summer Games.

With the win, Phelps will be able to try to reclaim the title he won in 2004 and 2008 but surrendered to Chad le Clos of South Africa at the 2012 London Olympics.

The American swimmer retired after the Olympics in 2012 but returned to the pool two years later. His comeback, however, was disrupted by a drunk-driving arrest followed by a stint in rehab.
