Missouri road will be covered with solar panels
One of the oldest highways in the US state of Missouri may soon become the first to get solar panels.
The Solar Roadways’ design for the panels is unique. The panels are fitted with LEDs for lighting. They prevent snow accumulation and are inter-changeable with each other very easily.
Each panel is layered with tempered glass making them very durable like bullet-proof glass. The panels can also provide a lot of free energy. This means a lot of savings for local transportation departments in terms of lighting and snow removal.
