Carlos Bacca has scored a first-half goal to hand Colombia a 1-nil victory over hosts USA in the 3rd-place playoff.

Bacca made the breakthrough in the 31st minute when he beat US goalkeeper Tim Howard by poking-in a headed cross from Santiago Arias at the far post to give Colombia the lead.

Juan Cuadrado hit the underside of the crossbar midway through the second half, before the hosts came close to equalizing when Bobby Wood rattled the post.

Both teams had further scoring chances, but neither could find the back of the net, as the hosts finished 4th in the Copa America.
