FIVB World League: Iran 3-1 Bulgaria, in pool F group 1
Iran have kicked off the 2nd week of the FIVB World League with a convincing 3-1 victory over Bulgaria, in Serbia on Thursday.
Iran's Mohammad javad Manavinezhad scored a match-high 21 points to help his team to prevail over Bulgaria 3-1.
After losing the opening set 25-18, the Iranian v-ballers found their usual rhythm to take 3 sets in a row at 25-20, 25-23 and 25-20.
The next best scorer for Iran was Milad Ebadipour with 17 points, while Bulgaria's Sokolof scored a team-high of 19 points.
That’s while, both teams met for the 1st time at the World League. For Bulgaria it was the 4th consecutive defeat in this year's competition, while Iran grabbed their 2nd win from 4 matches.
