The International Olympic Committee Chief Thomas Bach says that the IOC respects the Athletics’ World Governing Body’s decision to suspend Russian athletes, adding that sports-people from Russia and Kenya must have extra checks before being cleared to compete in the Rio Olympics.

Speaking after an Olympic summit, Bach added that Russian Track and Field Athletes who are deemed clean by the IAAF, would go to Rio as part of the Russian Olympic team.

This is while the world governing body had earlier declared that no Russian athletes would be able to compete under the Russian Flag.
