Nico Rosberg wins F1 European Grand Prix in Baku

Nico Rosberg has won the first European Grand Prix in Azerbaijan’s capital of Baku, while his teammate Lewis Hamilton finished 5h.

Rosberg led into Turn 1 and was completely unchallenged as he drove off into the distance, finishing first by 16.7 seconds followed by Ferrari driver Sebastian Vettel and Force India Serkhio Perez, respectively.

World champion Hamilton was hampered by a problem with an engine setting during the race, finishing with only 10 points. Rosberg grabbed his 19th Grand Prix victory, extending his lead over Hamilton to 24 points in the standings.
