FIVB World League: Iran beat Argentina 3-2
The national Iranian men’s volleyball team has recorded their first victory at the FIVB World League 2016 by defeating Argentina 3- 2 in a pool B fixture.
Iran started off strong and cruised to a 2-nil lead as they took the first set 25-22 before winning the second 25-20.
However, Raul Lozano’s men couldn’t keep up the pace while Argentina took advantage of Iran’s mistakes in reception to restore parity at 2-2 by winning the 3rd and 4th sets 25-21 and 25-13 respectively.
However, it was Iran who played better in the deciding set and clinched it 15-11 to wrap up the 3-2 win.
