Iran slams Saudi Arabia's anti-Tehran statement

• Iran’s Foreign Ministry Spokesman Hossein Jaberi-Ansari says Iranian military advisers are in Iraq on an official request from Baghdad to help the Iraqi forces fighting terrorists. He made the comments in response to the Saudi Foreign Minister who accused Iran of interfering in Iraq’s internal issues.
• A new report by the International Atomic Energy Agency says Iran has neither pursued the construction of the existing Arak heavy water research reactor nor it enriched uranium above low levels. This is the IAEA's second quarterly assessment since the nuclear deal between Iran and P-5+1 countries came into force in January.
• The Russian Defense Ministry says Moscow is taking measures to upgrade its military facilities on the disputed Kuril Islands claimed by Japan. It added that the steps are aimed at enhancing the level of social protection for soldiers and their family members, and avoiding the smallest risks.
• US Republican Presidential candidate Donald Trump and Democratic hopeful Bernie Sanders have expressed willingness to hold a debate. On Thursday, Trump managed to secure enough delegates to clinch the Republican presidential nomination. However Sanders, is far behind Democratic front-runner Hillary Clinton in delegates.
• The US President Barak Obama has said the memory of the US atomic attack on Hiroshima must never fade. Speaking in the Japanese city, Obama however ignored calls to apologize. The Japanese have held a protest over Obama's refusal to apologize for the attack that left tens of thousands dead.
• The International Organization of Migration, IOM says some 100 people are still missing after a ship flipped over in the Mediterranean Sea on Wednesday. According to survivors of the incident, those still missing were stuck in the hull. They reported that the large fishing ship had 650 passengers on board.
• French unions have called on workers to continue their strikes in protest at the government's proposed labor law reforms. This comes as the government has pledged to press on with its unpopular labor reforms. Meanwhile, police have made over 70 arrests in Paris and other cities during anti-reform protests.
• Israeli authorities have issued demolition orders for three Palestinian houses, an agricultural structure and a power line near the city of Nablus in the occupied West Bank. Tel Aviv has informed the residents about the decision. Israeli demolitions have increased four-fold this year.
