Indian mother gives birth to world’s heaviest baby
An Indian mother has given birth to a 6.8 kilograms baby girl, the heaviest infant ever born in the world.
The 19-year-old mother welcomed her first child by caesarean section in southern India. The average baby is born weighing 3.4 kilograms. So the Indian mother’s baby is twice the size.
The infant is being kept at the neonatal intensive care unit and doctors are monitoring her developments before they discharge her in few days.
It is believed that the baby’s birth overtakes the current record holder who was born weighing 6.4 kilograms in Massachusetts in 2014.
