Spanish giants Barcelona have been crowned La Liga champions for the 2nd consecutive year, after defeating Granada 3-nil on the final day of the season, thanks to a hat-trick by Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez.
The Catalans sat just one point above rivals Real Madrid while heading into the match on Saturday. And they needed all 3 points to secure the title.
Barca scored the opener 22 minutes into the away-match. Brazilian star Neymar sent a perfect ball across the face of goal which gave Suarez the chance to make it 1-nil with an easy tap-in from 6 yards out.
The visitors doubled the lead in the 38 minute, again through the former Liverpool striker who scored with a beautiful header.
Suarez scored the 3rd, 4 minutes before time to complete his hat-trick, and secured the La Liga crown for the Catalans, regardless of Real Madrid's result. Barca now celebrate the glory for the 24th time in their history.
