Both top seed players Novak Djokovic and Tomas Berdych have completed straight-sets victories to reach the quarter-finals of the ATP 1000 Madrid Open.

On Thursday, Djokovic overcame the windy conditions to record an emphatic victory over clay-court expert Roberto Bautista Agut in the 3rd round of the tournament.

The Spaniard started strongly, but quickly wilted under sustained pressure from Djokovic. From 2-all in the opening set, Bautista Agut was allowed just one more game as Djokovic galloped to a 6-2, 6-1 victory, which included 25 winners and only 11 unforced errors.

This was Djokovic's record 30th win of the season which is now the most on tour with Dominic Thiem, who has 29 victories, trailing in second.
