Workers' Day demonstrations in the US city of Seattle turn violent as protesters clash with law enforcement officers with reports of injuries on both sides.

At least three officers were wounded and several people arrested on Sunday when May Day demonstrators threw rocks and bottles at cops and broke windows.

Local media said police were using "blast balls" to disperse the crowd in a downtown neighborhood. Police also reportedly used pepper spray several times to break up demonstrators.

Meanwhile, other US cities also witnessed huge May Day rallies but with a different tone.

In Los Angeles, protesters turned unruly against Republican presidential frontrunner Donald Trump. The protesters condemned Trump's stance and his discriminatory remarks during his campaign.

Immigrants, union members, workers and activists participated in the rally. They denounced Trump's offensive speeches against immigrants.

The Republican hopeful has promised to expel undocumented immigrants from the United States and build a wall on the Mexico border if elected as president.

In New York, a crowd gathered in Union Square for the cause of workers' rights on Sunday for May Day, CBS News reported.

"We must carry on the struggles in the spirit of May Day," one speaker said.

Social justice advocates in New Hampshire marched against racism and xenophobia.

In San Francisco, hundreds of workers rallied and marched along San Francisco's bay front in support of immigrant and workers' rights and demanded justice for people shot and killed by city police.
