33 circus lions rescued from their miserable lives in Peru and Columbia, have finally reached their natural habitat for the very first time after a long journey.

Their new home is the 5,000 hectare Emoya Big Cat Sanctuary in South Africa.

The felines flew for more than 15 hours to get to the Johannesburg International Airport on Saturday. From there they were taken to Emoya by truck where they will spend about 6-months to a year as an adaptation phase.
