Former FIFA President Sepp Blatter has attended Michel Platini’s appeal-hearing at the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS), to testify in the Frenchman’s last-ditch-attempt against a 6-year ban from all football related activities!

Like Platini, Blatter is banned from the Sport for 6 years, following a ruling by FIFA Judges, over payment of 2 million Swiss francs that Blatter made to the former UEFA President, Platini, back in 2011.

Both men have maintained their Innocence, saying the payment was part of a legitimate verbal contract. The Swiss is also set to appeal against his ban at a later date.

The case has already cost Platini a shot at becoming the FIFA president, as he had to pull-out of the race following his downfall last year. However, UEFA says it will not replace Platini until all his appeals have been exhausted.
