Manchester City held Real Madrid to a goalless draw in the first leg of their Champions League semi-final at the Etihad Stadium on Tuesday.

The visitors Real Madrid were handed a blow just before the game as Cristiano Ronaldo had to be ruled out due to an injury he suffered in the weekend.

After a quiet 1st half both teams stepped up their games and Zinedine Zidane’s men came close on a few occasions only to be denied by the woodwork and Joe Hart heroics.

Real keeper Keylor Navas had the last say, as he tipped over a threatening Kevin De Bruyne free-kick in injury time as the two sides head to Madrid with high hopes of a place in the final.
