Iraqi forces kick off major offensive to liberate Hit

Iraqi forces have liberated some 30 percent of the Daesh-held town of Hit in Anbar province and opened up humanitarian corridors for civilians trapped inside. The troops have already retaken several regions south and north of Hit, killing at least 100 Daesh terrorists. According to Iraqi commanders, the liberation of Hit is part of a large offensive to recapture the Daesh stronghold of Mosul.
