Being visually impaired doesn’t necessarily mean one cannot have exciting experiences such as driving a race car. In Australia, every year, blind and visually impaired drivers, get a chance to hit the road.

More than 100 blind drivers gather on a raceway in Melbourne to get behind the wheel of a car. Finding the driver’s seat, they just buckle up and trust their other senses while speeding up to 100 kilometers per hour. Well, of course an instructor sits beside them to give directions.

For those who are used to traveling with a guide-dog, having full control with no cane or companion adds to the excitement.
