Aritz Aduriz marked his long-awaited return to the national team by grabbing an equalizer in a 1-all friendly draw for Spain against Italy at Stadio Friuli on Thursday.

Following an uneventful first half, Napoli winger Lorenzo Insigne came off the bench to score the opener for Italy with a right-footed struck in the 67th minute.

The joy for home crowd was short-lived as Aritz Aduriz blasted the equalizer from close range to cancel out Lorenzo Insigne's strike ensuring a share of the spoils in just three minutes.

Elsewhere on Thursday, Turkey defeated Sweden 2-1 thanks to a brace by Jenk Tosun, Denmark beat Iceland with the same scoreline, Ukraine edged Cyprus 1-nil, Czech Republic suffered a 1-nil home loss to Scotland and finally Wales and North Ireland drew 1-all.
