Iranian commander says Tehran not seeking adventures
A senior Iranian military commander says Tehran is defending the dignity of all Muslims against the threat posed by the Daesh takfiri group.
Major general Qasem Soleimani, the commander of the Quds force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps made the comments. Soleimani rejected allegations of Iranian adventurism and said the country is doing all it can to protect Muslims. The Iranian commander also described the terrorist acts by ISIL as an attack against the dignity of humanity. He further criticized Saudi Arabia for the way it treats its own people and said Tehran has never tried to destabilize the Kingdom. Soleimani further accused Riyadh of seeking adventures against Iran as well as Islam and said Tehran is not seeking to proselytize Sunnis.
