Computer defeats human in strategy match

It’s man versus machine again! In a match between Google’s computer program and the world’s champion of the Chinese board game, “GO”, the South Korean champion was defeated by artificial intelligence. Lee Se-dol has been the champion of the ancient Chinese game for the past ten years. But he lost the two first round of a five-game match to Google’s AlphaGo. It’s a strategy board game with two players placing black and white pieces in turns on a square grid to gain more territory. The competition was held in the South Korean capital, Seoul. In a press conference after the game, Lee expressed his surprise of AlphaGo’s capabilities.
