Tourism in northern Iran

A big amount of tourism in Iran takes part in its northern provinces. One popular place in particular is the Mazandaran Province, and the largest city located in Mazandaran is the city of Babol. Reza Nayebi will give us a glimpse of the city in this feature.

In another feature, we focus on Abadan and show historical and cultural elements of this city, which is also considered the capital of the Arvand Free Zone. We will talk about football and how it entered Iran through this city. We show you Naft theater, which is among the first theaters in Iran and tell you how important the theater culture was and still is in this city. This is the city where different faiths and cultures have been living together peacefully for many years.

Iran has prided itself on its exquisite and eye-catching architecture in the course of its history. Inspired by traditional architectural designs, young architects today create works that are both modern and have traditional architectural elements of this land incorporated in them at the same time. Let’s now get familiar with the works of a couple of award-winning architects of this country.

Tehran is the largest metropolitan city of Iran. And it is home to many museums with different categories. The Nature & Wildlife Museum of Darabad is one of the most picturesque museums located in northeast Tehran.
