World's largest crochet blanket made in India

It took over two thousand women, six months and lots of yarn to break the Guinness World Record for largest crochet blanket in the city of Chennai, India.

More than 2,000 women from India as well as other countries have come together in India to make the world’s largest crochet blanket ever.

The ladies spent six months and lots of yarns to complete the giant masterpiece.

The final product covered an area of about 11,000 square-meters which is roughly the size of one and a half football fields. It broke the previous record set by South Africa by more than three times.

Once the record was confirmed, the enormous blanket was taken apart and donated to those in need.
