Inter Milan defeat Sampdoria 3-1 in Serie A

Inter Milan returned to their winning ways, as a 3-1 victory over Sampdoria lifted them back into the top-4 in the Serie A.

Roberto Mancini's men took the lead in the 23rd minute as a great cross by Marcelo Brozovic was volleyed home by D'Ambrosio.

Inter Milan were comfortable in attacking all night and doubled their lead in the 57th minute through Miranda after the ball clearly passed the line.

It was 3-nil in the 73rd minute as Icardi powered through the Sampdoria defense on the end of Brozovic's pass and completed the scoring.

Fabio Quwaya-rella emphatically latched onto Muriel's through-ball for a consolation goal in the 92nd minute. Montella's men are now without a win in 8 Serie A matches.
