Iran clobber China 7-0 in AFC Futsal Championship

Mohammad Keshavarz netted a second-half brace as Iran trounced China 7-nothing to seal their place in the quarter-finals of AFC Futsal Championship on Friday.

After thrashing Jordan 6-0 in their opening match on Wednesday, Asian futsal legends knew that a win against China would give them a place in the quarter-finals. The Iranians needed just eight seconds to score the opening goal. Mohammad Taheri capitalised on a defensive error to score the fastest goal scored at the tournament so far.

Their second goal came in the sixth minute thanks to Ali Ashgar Hassanzadeh's tap-in.

Hamid Ahmadi then made it 3-0 from a corner in the 17th minute putting the Iranians in cruise control.

Captain Mohammad Keshavarz then got in on the scoring act six minutes into the second half with a strike into the bottom corner.

Hossein Tayebi made it 5-0 just a minute later with a cool finish from close range.

Captain Keshavarz scored his second of the evening with a brilliant strike from long range in the 29th minute.

Finally Ghodrat Bahadori completed the rout with an unstoppable bullet in a fine fashion in the 32nd minute as Iran thrashed China 7-0 to register their second successive win of the tournament.
