Gael Monfils enters quarterfinals of Rotterdam Tournament
Frenchman Gael Monfils has gone through to the Quarterfinals of the World Tennis Tournament in Rotterdam after defeating Croatia's Borna Chorich in 3 sets.
Monfils, who also reached the Quarterfinals at this Year's Australian Open, eased into a 6-4 win in the 1st set, after breaking serve in the 4th game.
However, a series of Unforced Errors in the 2nd SAW the Frenchman surrender the set 7-5, before taking charge again to close-out the third set 6-2 and book his place in the Quarters.
Earlier, Croatian Marin Cilic also reached the last-8 after beating Gilles Muller of Luxembourg in Straight Sets. Cilic played powerfully on Wednesday to knock-out Muller 7-6, 7-6, in a match where neither player dropped a game on their Serve.
The Croatian will next play against Germany's Philipp Kohl-schreiber for a place in the Semis.
