Boasson Hagen wins Tour of Qatar time trial
Norway's Edvald Boasson Hagen has won the 2016 Tour of Qatar individual time trial in Lusail.
The Norwegian took the overall lead from Britain's Mark Cavendish on Wednesday as he completed the 11.4 kilometer time trial, 25 seconds faster than Dutch runner-up Jos van Emden, who crossed the finishing line in a time of 13 minutes and 51 seconds.
Italy's Manuel Quinziato and Belgium's Greg Van Avermaet took 3rd and 4th places respectively. Cavendish slipped down to second in the overall standings after finishing 7th.
