Al Saud, Israel complicit in 9/11 attacks: Commentator

Press TV has interviewed Rodney Shakespeare, a political commentator in London, about Amnesty International’s call on US authorities to take better care of one of the alleged ringleaders of 9/11 attacks, whose health is rapidly deteriorating at the notorious Guantanamo Bay prison.

What follows is a rough transcription of the interview.

Press TV: The case of Mustafa al-Hawsawi basically epitomizes the rights violations that take place in Guantanamo Bay prison. There is a complete media vacuum as far as what goes on in there.

Shakespeare: Mustafa al-Hawsawi is being tortured everyday and they cannot find any evidence which they can charge him with. But the purpose of it is to hide the truth which is breaking out. We know the truth about 9/11. There are 28 pages on the report on 9/11 which have been censored, but they have now been read and they will completely reverse everybody’s perception of what happened. But to hide that this man is being tortured so the American can say ‘this is the person who did it; this is behind it’. The Saudis are number one behind it; secondly, the Commission Report. The 6 out of 8 members have said they were lied to hide the contribution of Israel and the events around tower number 7 are the evidence from that. And the third thing which is being hidden and the torturing of his man is used to hide it is of course the organization of the 9/11 was done by elements of the military industrial complex and CIA to embark on a wholesale war with Islam.

America has lost all moral authority with its torture and its behavior. You have got American presidential candidates who are proposing continuing torture; water boarding is when they drown you and bring you back from death. And the thing is going on all to hide up, the fact is that America is complicit in 9/11, Saudi Arabia is complicit in 9/11 and so is Israel.

Press TV: Will concrete evidence ever come out and will these people have their day in court? Will those responsible be held accountable to the rights violations they have done in the name of human rights?

Shakespeare: There is no concrete evidence to come out from the detainees in Guantanamo Bay. The purpose is to torture them, to keep them there so that the Americans have got someone to blame and to hide up the truth. What is going to come out is that the evidence as to who did and was involved in 9/11. We demand the media publication of those 28 pages which are in their Commission’s report and the Commission itself knows that those pages are inadequate. If the Americans have got nothing to hide, let them release those 28 pages, let them tell the truth about the tower number 7 and let they admit their own complicity and stop torturing this poor man.
