Defending champion Barcelona have cruised into the final stage of Spain’s Copa Del Rey with a comprehensive 8-1 aggregate victory after drawing 1-all with Valencia in the second leg.

The Catalans subjected Gary Neville's men to a humiliating 7-nil defeat last week, with Luis Suarez bagging an impressive four goals and Lionel Messi recording a superb hat-trick.

At the Mestalla Stadium, Luis Enrique played a much weakened Barca side and rested his big guns. The hosts took the lead in the 39th minute through Alvaro Negredo. The forward found some great space behind the visitors' defense and rounded the keeper to make it 1-nil.

With only five minutes to go, Wilfrid Kaptoum sent a lovely strike into the corner, not long after coming off the bench, to tie the game at 1-all. The huge 8-1 aggregate victory took Barcelona's unbeaten run to 29 matches, surpassing the club’s previous record of 28 under Pep Guardiola in 2011.
