Swedish couple build glass greenhouse to counter cold
A Swedish couple have come up with an amazing idea to counter the effects of Stockholm’s harsh cold.
The solution allows them to save energy, grow their own food and keep warm. They have built a glass greenhouse around their house.
The couple say during January when the temperature ranges around minus 2 degrees Celsius, thanks to the daylight accumulation in the greenhouse, the inside of the home has a temperature of 15 to 20 degrees Celsius.
The glass that surrounds the home is 4 millimeters thick and designed to protect the house from snow, rain and wind.
