Eagles trained to catch illegal drones in midair
Police in the UK, have come up with a new way to stop right in the air, drones which can be of any potential threat.
Scotland Yard is planning to use birds of prey in its fight against criminals. Police are now training some eagles to catch the drones mid-air and bring them back to the ground. The birds will be armored for protection against the drones’ propellers.
The police were inspired by the eagles which pounced on a small drone and snatched it from the skies in Netherlands few months back. Researchers are now running a feasibility study to implement the plan.
