Caleb Ewan wins 2nd stage of Herald Sun Tour

Australia's Caleb Ewan has continued his unbeaten run in sprint finishes this season by winning stage two of the Herald Sun Tour.

The 21-year-old Australian crossed the finish line in 3 hours, 29 minutes and six seconds to claim the win, beating American Tanner Putt in a final surge. Meanwhile, Team Sky rider Peter Kenna finished the 144.2-kilometer stage three seconds behind Ewan to retain the overall leader's yellow jersey.

Kenna now leads reigning Tour de France champion Chris Froome by 13 seconds, with Bobridge in third at 31 seconds. The win on Friday was Ewan's ninth so far this year.
