Sperm whale dies after being washed up on British coast

Every now and then, we come across stories of whales getting stuck in shallow waters. This time, a huge sperm whale was washed up on the British coast.

The 14 meter-long mammal became stranded on Norfolk beach. Rescuers did their best to keep it alive. But there was nothing they could do to save it due to its size and weight, and it died.

The whale was the sixth to become stranded in the UK in recent weeks. Sperm whales are the largest toothed predator and can measure up to 20 meters.
