Performance art in Iran

In this feature, we will be looking at a new form of art that challenges your notions about what art is. Performance art started in the 1960s and has made a lot of progress in the country.

Normally not much goes on in the back streets of North Tehran, but for One Day only in Winter, various galleries with different types of art displays opened their doors to the public. This was an occasion that Samson Seez just couldn’t miss.

For centuries Persians had a lead in astronomical advancement. There have been ups and downs in the progress of astronomy in Iran. But what is for sure is that Iranians have been studying celestial bodies and events since time immemorial.
