Video footage shows the French navy's flagship Charles de Gaulle aircraft carrier patrolling the Persian Gulf along with several European warships, including the German frigate FGS Augsburg and British frigate HMS ST Albans.
The footage of the nuclear-powered aircraft carrier was captured on January 18 and released by the French military's communications agency on Monday.
The aircraft carrier was deployed on November 18 and is part of an international task force operating against the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group which is wreaking havoc in Syria and Iraq.
