Cameroonian striker joins Iran’s Tractor Sazi soccer club

Cameroonian player Aloys Bertrand Nong has joined the professional Iranian Tractor Sazi Tabriz Football Club, which plays in the Persian Gulf Pro League, also known as Iran Pro League (IPL).

The 32-year-old striker signed a contract with the Tabriz-based club until the end of the season and for an undisclosed fee during a ceremony attended by Tractor’s Chairman Saeed Abbasi and several top officials of the club on Saturday evening.

Nong joined Foolad Khuzestan Football Club in the middle of the 2014–2015 season, and featured for the Ahvaz-based side in the Asian Football Confederation (AFC) Champions League.

He moved to Naft Tehran Football Club at the end of the season, and stayed there until his departure for Tractor.

Tractor Sazi Tabriz Football Club stands in the 7th spot in the IPL table.

Esteghlal Tehran Football Club is currently top with 34 points.

Esteghlal Meli-Sanati Khuzestan Football Club, commonly known as Esteghlal Khuzestan, has bagged 33 points to claim the second position, while third-place Zob Ahan Football Club has earned 30 points. Saipa Tehran Football Club has landed in the fourth spot with 30 points.
