Israeli forces kill two Palestinians in Gaza Strip

At least two Palestinians have been killed and 10 others injured in an attack by Israeli troops on protesters in the besieged Gaza Strip.

Officials said 18-year-old Muhammad Abu Zayed was fatally shot in the head as Israeli troops fired live bullets at protesters east of Bureij refugee camp.

A second Palestinian was shot dead in the same area shortly later. The man was identified as 26-year-old Muhammad Majdi Qaita from Khan Yunis.

Palestinian medical officials said at least 10 others were wounded by live bullets during the clashes.

More than two dozen Palestinians have been shot dead by Israeli forces in clashes along the Gaza fence since the beginning of October, according to the UN Agency for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs.

More than 160 Palestinians, including children and women, have lost their lives at the hands of Israeli forces since the beginning of last October.
