The favorability of US Republican presidential candidate Jeb Bush among GOP voters has dropped to new lows during last seven months, according to a new Gallup poll released Friday.

Bush, who was once the Republican Party’s presumed leading contender, had a net favorability of +27 in July, but in the latest poll it is -1.

Men’s favorability of the former Florida governor went down 39 points since July, while women’s favorability ranking dropped by 13 points.

Bush's name recognition is not the problem since he is son and brother of two former US presidents, George H.W. Bush, and George W. Bush; he is second to only Donald Trump on that score.

In July, 81 percent of voters were familiar with Jeb Bush, and now that number went up to 89 percent.

However, 94 percent people polled are familiar enough with the name of Donald Trump to rank him positively or negatively.

About a dozen Republicans are seeking their party’s nomination for president, but Trump continues to lead the crowded GOP field despite making controversial remarks against Mexican immigrants, women and Muslims.
