At least three civilians have lost their lives and a number of others sustained injuries in Saudi Arabia’s latest bombardment of Yemen.

On Tuesday, two women and a child were killed after Saudi warplanes targeted residential buildings in the northwestern Yemeni province of Sa’ada.

Saudi warplanes also bombed various districts in the capital, Sana’a, a district in Ma’rib province and a camp in Ibb Province. No casualties have been reported in the attacks.

The Yemeni army launched retaliatory missile attacks on military bases in Saudi Arabia’s southwestern border region of Jizan, killing an unknown number of Saudi troops, the al-Masirah TV reported.

The Saudi military confirmed that a missile had been fired but claimed to have successfully intercepted it.

Yemeni forces made further advances in al-Khobe region of Jizan, inflicting heavy losses on Riyadh’s military, according to the report.

Meanwhile, Ansarullah fighters targeted a gathering of militants loyal to Yemen’s fugitive former president, Abd Rabbuh Mansur Hadi, in the Kufel region in Ma’rib.

A vehicle carrying mercenaries fighting on Saudi Arabia’s behalf was destroyed in Yemeni rocket attacks in the same region.

Yemen has been under Saudi military strikes on a daily basis since late March 2015. The military campaign is supposedly meant to undermine the Ansarullah movement and restore power to Hadi, a staunch ally of Riyadh.

More than 7,500 people have been killed and over 14,000 others injured since the strikes began. The Saudi war has also taken a heavy toll on the impoverished country’s facilities and infrastructure.
