Rafael Nadal grabs Mubadal title after beating Milos Raonic

The king of clay Rafael Nadal has won the Mubadala World Tennis Championship, by defeating Canada’s Milos Raonic in straight sets in Abu Dhabi.

The Spaniard only needed 90 minutes on Saturday to dispatch his big-serving opponent, as he took the first set 7-6 and the 2nd with a better score of 6-3, to lift the title for the third time at Zayed Sports City's International Tennis Stadium.

The 14-time Grand Slam Champion had previously won the Mubadala Championship back in 2010 and 2011. With the victory, Nadal will now get a boost in confidence for his 2016 tennis tournaments after struggling to perform against Top players in 2015.

Meanwhile, World No.7 David Ferrer overcame Stanislas Wawrinka in 2-sets-to-1, to finish 3rd, at the Mubadala World Tennis Championship.

34-year-old Ferrer showed a brilliant performance in Abu Dhabi, as the Spaniard outclassed his Swiss opponent with a score-line of 6-7, 6-4, 10-8 in 2 hours and 23 minutes on Saturday. It was the Spaniard's 5th appearance at the event.
