Two people have been killed and ten others injured in a shooting in central Tel Aviv, reports say.

Al-Mayadeen television network reported the shooting on Friday.

Two people were seriously wounded in the incident.

Israeli police said the incident took place at a bar.

Israeli media said it was not immediately clear if the attacker was Palestinian or if the shooting was a gang related.

Palestinian sources, however, said two Palestinians were behind the Tel Aviv attack. The fate of the two Palestinians is still unclear.

There has been a recent upsurge in tensions in the occupied Palestinian territories.

A Palestinian man succumbed Friday to wounds sustained in on December 8, 2015, during clashes with Israeli forces in the occupied West Bank.

The Palestinian Health Ministry said Shadi Ghabish died overnight at his home near the Jalazon refugee camp.

The ministry cited post-surgery complications after removing bullets from the 38-year-old’s body as the cause of death.

Meanwhile, Israeli army said it was set on Friday to hand over the bodies of 23 Palestinians killed by Israeli forces during the recent tensions.

Over 140 Palestinians have been killed in the recent wave of unrest since October.

The UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has voiced concern over “extrajudicial killing” of Palestinians by Israeli forces.

The Israeli regime has imposed restrictions on the entry of Palestinian worshipers into the al-Aqsa Mosque compound in East al-Quds (Jerusalem). That and ongoing assaults by Israeli settlers on Palestinians and their properties have frustrated Palestinians.
