'Israel partner in all terrorist activities'

1. The leader of Lebanon’s Resistance Movement says Israel plays a major role in all terrorist activities. Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah says the movement will fight Tel Aviv until it's defeated. The Hezbollah leader was speaking during a ceremony commemorating Hezbollah commander Samir Quntar who was killed in an Israeli airstrike last week.

2. Israeli forces have shot dead two more Palestinians in the West Bank. Tel Aviv says Israeli forces opened fire and killed the two after a stabbing attack near Nablus. Two Israeli soldiers were also wounded. Another Palestinian was shot and wounded over an alleged knife attack in Jerusalem al-Quds.

3. The Israeli prime minister has warned against Jewish terrorism and hatred. Benjamin Netanyahu says it’s necessary to uproot Jewish terrorism which is threatening Israel’s foundation. His comments are made days after a video was released showing Israelis celebrating the death of a Palestinian toddler killed by settlers.

4. The Syrian army says the number of terrorists escaping toward the Turkish border is on the rise. The military says the mass escape follows the significant gains it made against ISIL terrorists in Syria. Army units have recently recaptured dozens of towns and strategic regions near Aleppo.

5. Iraqi government forces say they’ve taken control of the government complex in Ramadi. The compound was the last stronghold of Daesh terrorists in the city. The Iraqi army launched its offensive to recapture the center of Ramadi last Tuesday. The city was overrun by terrorists in May.

6. Mexicans have once again taken to the streets of Mexico City to call for the government’s explanation on the fate of 43 students who went missing last year. Police allegedly detained the students before turning them over to a drug cartel which killed them.

7. More than two-thirds of people tasered by police in England and Wales between 2010 and 2014 were mentally impaired. That’s according to figures released by the Home Office. Activists say the numbers show that British policemen armed with tasers need proper training.

8. Weeks of heavy rainfall continue to cause severe flooding in parts of the UK. Hundreds of people have been evacuated and thousands of homes remain without power in northern England, Wales and Scotland. Prime Minister David Cameron has convened an emergency committee over the situation.
