Beijing air pollution reaches hazardous levels

A dangerous smug continues to engulf the Chinese capital Beijing and much of northern areas in the country.

A dangerous smug continues to engulf the Chinese capital Beijing and much of northern areas in the country. The level of hazardous airborne particles in the capital and its suburbs has reached nearly 40 times the limits set by the World Health Organization. The government has advised people to stay indoors, while limiting factories' output. Many blame China's main energy source for the current pollution.
