Planned Parenthood shooter: No more baby parts

Three people died and 9 others were injured in a shooting incident in Colorado Springs, Colorado, on Friday.

The suspected Planned Parenthood gunman in Colorado Springs reportedly shouted “no more baby parts” while he was being arrested by officers after the Friday rampage, according to a law enforcement source.

Robert Lewis, 57, who opened fire at the abortion clinic killing three people and injuring 9 others, later expressed anti-abortion and anti-government views in interviews with media.

Lewis’ utterance, which could hint at a possible motive for his shooting rampage, meant to target the organization's abortion practices and provision of fetal tissues to researchers.

Authorities have not announced the real motive of the gunman, though described his action as a crime against women.

"This unconscionable attack was not only a crime against the Colorado Springs community, but a crime against women receiving healthcare services at Planned Parenthood, law enforcement seeking to protect and serve, and other innocent people," Attorney General Loretta Lynch said in a statement.

The shooting is thought to be the first deadly attack, in six years, at an abortion provider in the US.

Senior Planned Parenthood officials have been caught on camera discussing selling “fresh” body parts of aborted babies.

In an undercover video released by the Center for Medical Progress (CMP) on September 15, Planned Parenthood executives can be heard openly discussing the sales of specific body parts, including hearts, eyes and “gonads” of aborted babies.

They claim it is a “valid exchange,” and that clinics can make “a fair amount of income” doing it.

“We’ve just been working with people who want particular tissues, like, you know, they want cardiac, or they want eyes, or they want neural,” Dr. Carolyn Westhoff, Planned Parenthood’s senior medical adviser, is heard saying in the footage.

“Certainly, everything we provide–oh, gonads! Oh my God, gonads. Everything we provide is fresh,” Westhoff continues.

The organization is the largest abortion provider in the United States and is responsible for 327,000 abortions every year.
