Sheikh Chauki Lazhar says that critical thinking is one for the fundamental principles in Islam under "Towhid."
The reason is Towhid will liberate humans from all obstacles between him and the truth in order to fulfill his mission on earth. However, we have to understand that there are limits on critical thinking in Islam because the way our logic works cannot be applied on Allah.
He is beyond logic, beyond space, beyond time and beyond the laws of the universe. Critical thinking in Islam works under a framework and red lines.
