US police brutality, result of Israeli trainings

WASHINGTON, DC - NOVEMBER 06: United States Supreme Court Police keep watch in front of the court

With regard to the racism that the university of Missouri football players are apparently going to boycott their upcoming games according to news reports, yes, racism in America is a serious issue, says the editor of the America-Hijacked.com.

In an Interview with Press TV on Monday, James Morris made the remarks while commenting on escalation of racial tensions in the US University of Missouri.

Members of the University of Missouri football team said they will boycott team activities until the school's president resigns or is fired in the latest protest against Tim Wolfe's handling of race issues.

“We have seen matters like “Black Lives Matter” and we see that there are many good police officers in America and we have to keep that in mind but there have been some bad ones who shot African-Americans. There was one case in Carolina where one gentleman was running away from a police officer and he shot and basically murdered him. So that has been happening and that is a serious issue in America,” Morris told Press TV.

An increase in unlawful arrests and the killing of black people in recent years has sparked campaigns against police brutality and racial profiling in the US.

The unnecessary use of heavy-handed tactics by police as well as the racial profiling of some minorities has become a major concern across the US in recent years.

“We know that there are various police departments in America - I have been on Press TV before talking about this - where you have police brutality because officers of police department in America are being trained in Israeli tactics. Leaders from Israelis are coming over to America as consultants of police departments and there are representatives and officers to Israel to be trained, and we see the racist nature with the way Israel treats of the Palestinians and that is actually have been happening here in America after we see American police departments getting Israeli trainings, and we see that similar attacks used against Palestinians are used against African-Americans,” said the political analyst.

“But I think what’s really important to keep in mind is that the …controlled Media in America basically likes to have the American public focused on an issue and on a very important issue such as racism here against African-Americans but they won’t concentrate on other issues and they kind of use that as a diversion instead of talking about the war for the Israel agenda in the Middle East which is costing Americans billions and Trillions of dollars and much of those wasted taxpayers money could have been used for African-American communities here in America,” he added.

Currently, 50 percent of people in the US say that racism is a “big problem” in our society today, according to a poll released by the Pew Research Center, an American think tank based in Washington, DC.

Five years ago, 33 percent of Americans characterized racism as a big problem, and 26 percent thought so in January 2009.

Among African-Americans, 73 percent now identify racism as a big problem, along with 58 percent of Hispanic Americans.

This shift in public opinion is seen across all regions of the country and across all demographic and partisan groups.

“Like what I’ve said I’m not saying that it [racism in America] is not important, because it is. But if you look at the wider picture, what’s been going on with the war agenda and with all the billions and trillions of dollars of US tax payer’s money wasted on this and not to mention all the money going to pay for Israel and the brutal oppression of the Palestinian people which has basically come back as terrorism against America when we saw the tragic 9/11 attack and the earlier attack in 1993. Those are the issues American media should be focusing on,” he concluded.
