Daesh has released a video, threatening attacks inside Russia in retaliation for the country’s airstrikes that have been targeting the Takfiri terrorist group in Syria since late September.

The US-based SITE Intelligence Group, which tracks online militant activity, reported the emergence of the footage on Thursday, citing observations from the al-Hayat Media Center, a Daesh propaganda arm that aims to recruit militants in the West.

The video features chants of "Soon, very soon, the blood will spill like an ocean," and, "We will make your wives concubines and make your children our slaves."

Reacting to the footage, Kremlin spokesman, Dmitry Peskov, said, "I do not know the authenticity of this video, I do not know the authenticity of these sources, but in any case no doubt this will be material for review by our special (security) services."

Upon a request from Damascus, Russia has been conducting aerial attacks against Daesh and other terrorist groups in the violence-scarred country since September 30.

The video was not the first one by the group to carry a threat against Russia.

Last year, a Saudi-owned news channel broadcast a video reportedly filmed at a seized airport in the northern Syrian province of Raqqah. The footage featured a member of the group seated in a military jet saying, "This message is for you, Vladimir Putin! These are the aircraft you sent to Bashar [al-Assad], and we're going to send them to you. Remember that!" referring respectively to the Russian and Syrian presidents.

The Daily Mail reported last Friday that a Daesh bomb attack had been foiled as Russian special forces unearthed a gigantic bomb, made of around 3.5 tons of explosives, which had been hidden in plastic containers next to a road in the Republic of Ingushetia in Russia's North Caucasus region.

In an alarming development, Daesh militants operating in Egypt’s Sinai Peninsula claimed recently to have brought down the Russian Airbus A321, which crashed in the North African country on October 31, killing all 224 passengers and crewmembers.
